The Magic of Perfect Meter with Rebecca Gardyn Levington

I’m so excited to introduce Rebecca Gardyn Levington to you today! Today’s podcast episode includes so much in the brief 30 minutes we talked. Also, I realized I’d read and and reviewed her book Brainstorm! illustrated by Kate Kronreif nearly a year ago and loved it!

As a former journalist and lover of words, Rebecca has been writing since she was a child. Over the years that writing has changed in form and genre, however, her love of words has been everpresent. In this episode she shares her writing mantras, how passion in writing is necessary. She also shares how to go beyond that passion to create stories with purpose and intention, knowing where they fit in the publishing world.

“Write the stories you want to write but think beyond it to where it could be in the world because publishing is a business. Write from your heart with purpose and the knowledge that you need to arm your agent and editor with enough to prove other people are going to want this book too.” –Rebecca Gardyn Levington
